I feel very worried about the future. I think it may be a bleak one outside of Europe. I don’t think people realised what a great deal we had and how much our relationship with the eu benefitted us. I think, as do many others, that people in the north and places like stoke on Trent voted against austerity rather than the eu. I worry that it is the lives of vulnerable people in these areas that are already poor who will be most affected. I’ve just read The Road to Wigan Pier and the poverty filled me with fear. I hope we don’t end up like that again.
